Sorry you've been feeling so ill, Tea. You hit the nail on the head. Steroids will create diabetic symptoms in "normal" people for awhile which is why your doctor should be monitoring your blood sugar. (Actually, your doctor should have prescribed a glucose monitor for you to check your blood sugar everyday.) Now that you've tapered off, your blood sugar should be coming back down to whatever your normal readings were before. Stay away from food made with sugar and maybe other carbs, too, for awhile. I imagine that the doctor would do another blood test for blood sugar to see how the level is.
