FIBER WAFERS!!!! WOW!

Thank you so so much to whoever posted about metamucil fiber wafers on here. If you have not tried them yet, I would!! I had started bleeding again, and going to the bathroom about 5 times a day (D). then on Monday i ate 2 wafers, on tuesday i went once and it was solid with no blood, and i ate one wafer, then on wed. i went 3 times and they were not so well fromed and there was a little blood, i ate 2 again on wed, and so far today i have gone twice and nits been solid with no blood!

I will eat 2 again today and hope that it continues to help!

I'd love to buy these but they are $10 on ebay and $11 postage to UK! I wish I could get them here...

I think most pharmacies carry it where they keep their powdered and pill forms of fibre supplements.

They're working really well for me.  They don't have any artificial sweetners, either. 

I get them at my grocery stores, Christine.  Krogers or Safeway here.  They're in the pharmacy "butt aisle" ( as someone so appropriately put it) not the food section. 

Like any fiber supplement, be sure to drink plenty of water with them. 

Different fibres have different purposes...christine, have you tried any of the fibre supplements many of us suggest?

I do get gas from fibre supplements (I try and get fibre other ways with less discomfort, but I should try different ones,however), but do use them if I'm flaring to help with diarrhea.

I buy my metamucil fiber wafers at Wal-Mart by the pharmacy - less than $4 a box. I've got my husband eating them as well - he has divorticulosis.

That will likely all pass LondonRed once your system has adjusted to the amount you're currently taking, just be sure not to increase until you've adjusted first to the amount you've started with.
