I love beans... when I'm flaring badly, I stay away from them. I stay away from most solid foods, actually. But when I'm not in a flare, or just having mild symptoms, I eat them fairly regularaly. I love baked beans, love beans & rice, love green split pea soup. I love chili but tend to avoid it- the combination of the spices, beans, & other veggies/meat don't do me well! But I find beans to be an easily digestible fiber source. I sometimes suffer constipation, so keeping regular is important for me. Not really true constipation, but I think my colon forgets how to work properly & just sits there, doing nothing, so nothing moves! Beans help with that, big time!
