Hi every1..i have been diagnosed of uc since june this year..can i take seven seas cod liver oil n asacol also??am a bit scared..does cod liver oil suppress the immune system also?i read somwer that u cant take aspirin (found in asacol) n cod liver oil together!! cry

Fish oils are anti-inflammatory. You can certainly take any omega-3 oils with asacol or any other UC med. The New Eating Right for a Bad Gut has great information on omega-3 supplementation to reduce gut inflammation.

Cod liver oil...doesn't that taste yukky?  Seems like an old remedy to me...something ma tried to force down my throat in the 50's.

yep..lol..i also wanted to knpw if cod liver oil..i.e. fish oil causes stomach upset,nausea or diarrhoea??can som1 plzzzzzz tel me...!i am so hesitant to drink that

by my mum is insisting on me to drink that bcz am suffering from joint pain..n she says it really helps a lot for that!

If it is only the omega3s you are looking for, there are capsules you can take without having to drink any nasty oil! They might even make cod liver oil caps. Just because your Mom is a masochist and drinks that stuff doesn't mean you have to suffer as well. lol

So we can now add Omega 3 to the list of a million things that "help"? This is becoming a joke, it really is - everyone taking advantage of us.
