Ok, so I have been using Fleets as directed (although at a slower pace so my colon doesn't spontaneously self-destruct), as I have surgery (colectomy) scheduled for tomorrow am.
Usually, I don't freak out over perfect prep when it is just a colonoscopy, as a nurse confided in me that they can just vacuum things out if your colon is not completely empty.
For surgery, however, it is another story, as I don't want to increase my chance of infection if there is stool in my colon while they are cutting it out.
So, sorry for the ramble. Does "running clear" mean absolutely clear colorless liquid (like water) coming out of your bum into the toilet? Currently I am half-way thru my 2 bottles of prep, and the amount of liquid is small, and it is light clear brown (can see through it) with a few little specks of matter in it. Do I keep going, or have I achieved clear?
I just don't want to make my system any more irritated than I have to -- no need to take more prep if I am done.
All advice is appreciated!!!
