Had my 2nd c-scope today (first was 2 1/2 yrs ago when I was dx'd). I woke up during the procedure and it looked pretty bad, but when I was fully awake my GI told me I just saw the only bad part. Apparently my colon is 95% healthy, and the very end, the rectum, has bad ulcerations, he said on a scale of 1-10, 10 being really bad, he'd give me a 7. He wants me to start back on the Rowasa enemas. I had trouble keeping them in last time, so he also gave me a prescription for Canasa suppositories, but he said the enemas would be more effective, if I could tolerate them.
Since I have had quite enough action back there, what with last night prepping for the scope and then the scope ... I;ll start the darn things tomorrow night.
We're going to have a follow-up talk on the 23rd though cuz I want to know why I am still feeling bad most mornings and sometimes through the day, and still not having a lot of energy. Been trying to get back to the gym since it's been almost 6 months since I got off the Prednisone, but I still can't make it through a decent workout.
But, it's good news about most of my colon, which I was ready to tear out with my bare hands recently.
