Any NEW meds for Colitis or Proctitis

I have colitis/proctitis and I wanted to know of all the meds that are currently out for the illness and any new ones that may have come out recently or any current talks of new meds coming out.

I'm currently taking 4.8 grams of Lialda every morning. I'm not complaining, but I need something better!

Any info and advice is greatly appreciated.

While I don't know of anything in the pipe so to speak, read this story and watch the video if you have the time.

The article focuses on how scientists are able to take diseased tissue and make entire new organs en vitro. So far the trials have been going on for 8 years and they've been able to produce bladders and some heart valves. Just think....maybe one day we'll be able to get new colons? Go go stem cell research!
