pancreatitis! HELP! I need advice!

My GI doc finally called me back and he is sending me off for tests. He thinks I may have pancreatitis as a side effect from colozal? I am just a mess right now. I can't eat and my stomach is hurting so bad. Has anyone else developed this from the meds?

Ah P-Fit, I'm sorry to hear that! When are you getting the tests done? I hope it turns out not to be pancreatitis or at least I hope they can get you well again soon. I have not had this problem before (*knock on wood*) although the other day I started having bad right side pain and when I ate it felt worse and I started getting paranoid since I have just restarted Azasan. Feeling better today though so who knows.

Not from meds but from the UC itself. Its been known for people with UC to develope pancreatitis from all the constant inflammation. Anywho you might not have it and just really need some different stronger treatment. Good luck.

I'm going for blood wrok in the AM and I've got a GI doc appt set for next Wednesday. He said I may need another upper endoscopy...oh joy! cry He has taken me off the colozal for now. I was able to eat some soup a few minutes ago and so far I'm ok. I've been laying down on the couch since I got home from work. It just sucks. I've got 3 boys and they worry about me when I get sick. It breaks my heart to hear my 6yr old say he wants to stay home and take care of mommy. I just want to have one good month with no pain or symptoms.

I went for my blood work this morning. I'm still having pain when I walk and move around alot, but not as much as yesterday. I'm sticking to a juice, gaterade, applesauce and soup for the next day or so until my tests come back. I do feel a bit more gassy today.
