I saw my GI on Tuesday and I mentioned how I was cramping pretty bad some mornings. He prescribed me Bentyl 10mgs but I have a couple of questions. I know this is a rather low dose but if I take it in the morning as he instructed, will it make me super tired?? Also, does Bentyl also help with rectal spasms? I sometimes have them after I go to the bathroom and it gets a little painful. It doesn't last long though, thankfully.
Also, I went to my primary yesterday because my fingers of my right hand have been swelling, stiff and sore. My pointer finger of my left hand has been hurting again. This is one of the main reasons I haven't been around lately because it hurts to type. But I found out that the fingers on my right hand have osteoarthritis. My finger joints are starting to get misshapen but unfortunately my doc said there is not much she can do for them because of me having Uc she can not prescribe any anti-inflammatories (which I knew). As for my left finger, my trigger finger was acting up again so she gave me another steroid injection. But now I am wondering what my future will hold with the arthritis in my fingers. Will it spread? Will it become worse? Will I have to stop doing EVERYTHING I enjoy???? On one hand I am happy to KNOW what is wrong with those fingers but on the other hand, I'm a bit depressed about it.
