Hi everyone, hav'nt been on here in a while. I got pregnant last year in Feb. Had my last bad flare in May 07
and then complete remission since July of this year! Unfortunately now I've been in a flare on and off since
July. I feel like it never goes away and this is exactly what I was dealing with before the pregnancy. I surely
don't want to hospitalized again. Any suggestions?? I feel like I get more info here then talking to my GI.
Oh, and I'm not having a whole lot of D. Just mostly blood and mucus and excruciating left side pain and back
pain. I also notice it gets worse if I'm on my feet a lot!!

Have you tried anything like the Rowasa enemas?

Hav'nt tried the enemas yet, but I'm
open to anything and everything that will get it under control.
I also just switched health insurances and am waiting to get an appt. with a GI doc.

Hi Jade13,
I'm also in the same boat.
My UC is on and off and it is frustating.
Do u have urgency in the morning?
How much times u go to restroom in the mornings?
Do u feel like going in the afternoon/evening/night after taking food?

My urgency is usually in the morning and not long after I eat. And when it starts it takes awhile to stop. I'm
usually in the restroom at least 3-4 times in morning and same after I eat. I have been having really bad
left sided abd pain and back pain with this flare. More than usual. also, with the urgency, it's not that much D
just blood and mucus

Hi Jade,
It is exactly the same for me..
Mornings urgency is more and not much during the day.
I would suggest u to start with probiotics if you are interested. They helped me with urgency.
Do u take suppository in the morning or night?
Have u tried using it twice a day.
I'm not sure whether suppository works for left-sided UC. I have the same question and posted the same here.
What did your GI told about
usage of suppository.
Did he said that it will work for UC with left-sided?
Please respond..Thanq

I have used it twice a day a couple of times, but I'm not sure if it's directed.
I'm not sure if it's just for left sided colitis, but that's what I was diagnosed with, and
that's what I was prescribed. Have you used the enemas yet or the foam??
