I have a colonoscopy tomorrow and I began the Miralax/Dulcolax prep at 5pm tonight.  I was wondering how long would it be before I start going to the bathroom?  I have never had this prep before only the Fleet phoso soda one, so I don't know what to expect.  I would like to start going soon, so I'm not up all night long going.  So how quickly do you think I will be going and how long do you think I will be going.  I took 4 Dulcolax tabs and 32oz of the Miralax mixed with Gatorade.  Thanks!

I think I started just about the time I finished all the fluid, but I was definitely up most of the night.

I have only gone one little time so far. I drank the fluid pretty quickly too. I didn take a vicodin... do you think that will slow things up. I am "bubbling" so I guess eventually I will go, but who knows.

I hope you meant 32 oz. of Gatorade with 8 oz. of Miralax.  I just did it 3 weeks ago - seems I started "going" just about time I finished fluid also.  I had to mix with Powerade this time as I got so sick with Gatorade but this time I got sick too - all worked out ok.  Seems I dozed all night between "going".  Good luck!

My prep directions said to mix the Miralax with 64oz gatorade and drink 32 oz at 5pm the night before and then drink the other 32 oz 5 hrs prior to the scope. Is this right. Would this be why I am slower? Normally whne I do the prep, I barely finish drinking the first glass of prep before I'm running to the bathroom, but that is witht he Fleet prep. This one is new for me.

I see different directions.  I know I had to drink a glass every 15 to 20 minutes and finish all 64 oz. in 3 to 4 hours - that was my directions.  My test was at noon the next day.  ElaineNY
