Bad taste from iron Sulphates and Prilosec (Omeprazole)?

I am getting a bad taste in my mouth and I just started iron sulphates and omeprazole. Is this normal? When I was on flagyl, I had a metallic taste in my mouth.

many meds can cause the taste buds or nose receptors to go wonky.

You might be able to play with changing your toothpaste? to help lessen reaction.

I've not taken iron supplements, but I would think that they plus other meds such as pred could influence the change in taste.

Oh, sometimes zinc deficiency can cause it...or too much zinc.
