Hello, I have UC and I'm new here.

Hello, my name is Billy, and I have Ulcerative Colitis. I was diagnosed with it in the Spring of 2003 at the age of 18. I originally thought that I might have colon cancer. I went to my family doctor and then went to a specialist at Vanderbilt in Nashville. I have been on Asacol, then on Colazol 3x3, and some Rowasas, now I'm on Mesalamine, which I hear is like Asacol. I found this website when I was searching for generic versions of the pill, and after reading a few posts, I see its not possible. I wish I could get my pills through the $4 generics that every store advertises about. But I guess I am lucky, I haven't had a flair up in about 3 and a half years. Well I just wanted to introduce myself.

Its limited to about 6 inches, if memory serves me correctly. I am the only one in my family with UC, my sister does have IBS though.

hi i am new also,,,,,,,i am so discouraged 4 days on 40 mg of prednisone and no releif,,,,,usually by now i feel some,,,,,i tried the hydrocort last night and couldnt keep it in,,,,this is so bad near the holiday ,,will i get better???
