new to the forum

Just a quick note to intro myself. I am 38 and was finally diagnosed with UC in aug 2008, after dealin with the symptoms since nov. 2007. Have run the basic gauntlet of drugs. from the suppositories to the enemas, the pred to the balsalazide. I currently take 30 mg a day of pred, 9 of the balsalazide,  1 norvasc, i metoprolol, 2 gemfibrozil, 2 probiotic pills, 2 aloe vera pill, and the rowesa enema. None of this was working till I found an article about gluten intolerance. I have been basically gluten free for two weeks and syptoms are becoming better.  Just two bathroom trips so far today. LOL. I have read a few of the forum topics, and am lookin forward to commenting and reading the rest. Figured I'd introduce myself first though. Glad I found you all, No one around me has this disease, and my girlfriend and friends are tired of hearing about it, me, and my bathroom habits. LOL
