Prednisone and Headaches

I am currently on 10 mg of Prednisone.  I began this round of Pred in October, and am currently trying to get off of it while starting Imuran.  For the last two weeks I have had awful headaches on and off.(mostly on)  Even when the headache isn't terrible it is there nagging at me.  Has anyone else had this experience.  My doc said it is either the Pred or the Imuran and we will know which one when he doubles the Imuran.  I'm thinking it is more likely the Prednisone, but what do I know?  Does anyone have any insight into this?

Firstly good luck with coming of the prednisalone!

I finally got off it a week ago... and yeah, I have had killer headaches for the last 2 weeks, proper brain feeling like its about to burst out of my skull ones. I was told this may happen (along with loss of apetite and energy) as your body needs time to start producing its own steroids again.

Everytime I decreased my dose I got the morning headache that tapered throughout the day. Three days with no pred now, this morning first morning in three days without a HA.

I took an Adrenal Gland Support supplement as I was coming off the prednisone. I was also taking Imuran. My headaches started mostly after the prednisone was gone, so I think it was more the Imuran. They went away after a while, for the most part.
