I here translate from a Danish article - excuse me if my English ain't perfect:
Science have shown that patients with CU lack the chemical ingredient SAM (S-Adenosyl-Methionin), that helps break down sulfat rich ingrediences in the food.
I you can't do that (break it down) it triggers flares of the disease. It is thought to be a genetic failure that make the body unable to produce enough SAM. SAM can be purchased as SAMe, at least abroad.
On Vejle (Danish city) Hospital scientist have found that SAMe has a positive impact on CU. It's pretty expensive .........
SO can any one contribute to this information ????
