My husband and I went out to get dinner tonight, and I told him that I'm going to learn how to make Lasagna. He told me "Ew! That's like a caserole. Caseroles are my arch enemy." He's just a picky eater in general. He ordered a milkshake, so I was walking the drink to the car, and I told him I wish I was able to have a drink, and he told me no, that's your arch enemy. But, I corrected him. My arch enemy is UC. It's keeping me from eating what I used to enjoy before I was diagnosed.

The world is full of such odd coincidences.  Just today I posted my mom's recipe for lasagna on my favorite cooking website, and now here you are wanting to learn how to make it.  It will probably be published by tomorrow, so if you'd like me to send you a link to it I'd be happy to. 

We made the lasagna yesterday and ate it tonight at a dinner party.  I LOVE IT! yeah

I actually have a friend who learned how to make lasagna that is glueten free. I had some the other day and it was great. Next month we are going to get together and make it ourselves. Some fun quality time. I'm going over to her house because of my hubby's pickynesses. Send me the link, it sounds worth it anyway. More options the better to find the best recipe, right? Maybe I will torture him a little.

Ryan: Your comment was hilarious! I already "thump" him on the head for different comments. That one, is an understandable comment, though.

I'll do that. My hubby isn't a huge casserole fan either, but he gobbles up this lasagna. Its definitely not gluten-free, if that's what you're looking for.

Something kinda funny - I recently heard a comedian talking about how he was so disgusted when he tried something gluten-free. He said, "I know what gluten is, but it must be very delicious." Ha ha! Cracked me up.

Not really looking for gluten free, I'm just trying new things. Yeah that joke is funny. My friend who learned this recipe has Crohn's and the medicine isn't working for her and she doesn't want to start with Humira of Remicade until she's over 30, so the diet she's on has gluten free stuff in it too.

Bummer about the Crohns. Humira and Remicade were next on my doc's list for me, and I was scared out of my mind. I found the spinach diet just in time!

I hope she finds something that works for her...

Lol! To him casseroles are his Arch enemy. But he actually HATES them. Will not eat anything casserole related.

So happy I can eat most everything as far as my UC goes - just eat what does not bother my IBS which I have had for years.  I have not found anything different since diagnosed with UC that makes it any worse or better.  I LOVE milkshakes!!
