Hi KingJuicer,
I mixed Probiotics with warm water and put the mixture up my butt every time I had diarrhea. After the diarrhea stopped, I put the mixture up my butt once a day after having a BM in the morning. I also took Probiotics orally once a day before I went to bed. And I ate/drank only rice and anti-inflammatory foods/tea.
It took longer to get into remission than when I had done the fecal transplantation (which had put me in remission immediately). This time it was a gradual process. I would notice an improvement every time I put the Probiotics up my butt or ate something anti-inflammatory. I started to gain weight as a result of eating so much rice with added turmeric (and a bit of butter for taste). After I started eating anti-inflammatory foods, it was the first time I would eat and get better instead of eat and get worse. BTW, Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer is a great anti-inflammatory tea.
It seems that my Colitis is due to having taken too many antibiotics and having eaten/drank too much stuff with high fructose corn syrup plus not eating/drinking anything with fiber in it; so doing the opposite--taking Probiotics and changing my diet--works for me.
Now I'm just taking Probiotics orally, eating healthy foods that my body can handle, and making sure I eat/drink something that is anti-inflammatory every day to keep my colon in remission. I've also started eating a lot of cereal that's fortified with iron. I'm noticing a difference. I'm finally starting to get my energy back.
