UC without bleeding?

I don't know why, but I almost never bleed, what should be one of main symptoms of UC, I have UC for two years and maybe 12 months of that I'm in flare up, but I have seen some blood maybe only 2-3 times. 

Unless I'm in a really bad flare, I rarely bleed either.  More often than not, I just get frequent cramping, urgency, gas, mucous, and diarhea...or the flip side of that, I'm constipated.  Even during my flares, blood is present in my stools, but not dripping or anywhere near the amount that I've read about others having.  This is one funky disease, everyone suffers in their own personal way, but we can all relate.

Do you run like your house is on fire when you get the urge to go?

Bleeding is a common symptom with any form of colitis, but just because you don't have it, or much of it doesn't mean you're not necessarily moderate or severe with your disease...your other symptoms factor in as well to what degree of flare you're at.

i havent been seeing any blood for awhile now but my colon still is acting up alternating between dirreah and mooshy stool to semi formed still have urgency and gas and some mucus.this disease is frusturating.now that i have added more fiber i feel constipated even though i'm having a bowel movement.

     I've always had bleeding with my flares.  Last year was the worse though...lots of blood although my red blood cell count remained normal.
