withdrawl symptoms?

tapered the prednisone yesterday from 10 mg daily to every other day. last night and this morning he's been back and forth between 103.7 fever and cold spells where he just shivers. he's been real tired not even wanting to talk, but not incoherent. i gave him the prednisone this morning as scheduled and he seems a good deal better now. anybody else experience this?

I went from 10 to 5mg and now I'm off. I didn't experience any of that. I just now have joint pain. It does sound more like a bug he picked up and not because of the taper. The pred. would make him feel better when he takes it, but it could lower his ability to fight off the bug. My Doctor told me to call him if I got sick while I was on pred.
