During the spring season, I usually get very itchy and dry skin. My allergist thinks I have eczema. I was wondering if there is any connection between my eczema and UC, because I recently had a flare up too. Thanks.

Eczema and psoarasis are thought to be auto immune conditions and it is very common for people with IBD's to have this. I have psoarasis along my hairline and once I started on 6mp, I no longer have any issue from this (thank heavens!).

I have eczema along with UC. People who have one autoimmune disease are significantly more likely to have others, unfortunately.

Funny you should bring this up. I have neither psoriasis nor eczema but I do have ulcerative proctitis. However, my dad had bowel issues, definitely diverticulitis, and maybe IBS and he had psoriasis...hmmm.
