Two new symptoms have come up with my daughter this week:  knee pain and eye pain.  Her eye is also red, kind of like pink eye.  Dr wants us to see an opthamologist and an rhuematologist.  Anyone else have these symptoms with UC?

man my knees hurt me a ton ... my ankles too... i get joint pain.. and just recently with the pred and stuff.. my eyes are goin crazy on me... i have to get them checked cuz it gives me head aches cuz im straining really bad. no redness tho....

Hi there ..I had the same problem this time last year..ended up with Iritis ...turns out I have the HLA-B27 gene...makes so much more sense now

my eyes get red and feel like they are inflamed when I eat too many eggs.

Definately get her in to the eye doc ASAP. Uc'ers have a tendancy of getting eye infections and if it's Irisitis (sp?) and if it's not taken care of, it can lead to blindness. There is also a connection of having Uc and Dry Eye Syndrome.

THANK HEAVEN it is only a case of Pink eye. I thought for sure it was iritis but DR says it is not for sure!

I'm glad to hear! She's too young to have to deal with that yucky stuff...
