Question for UC

Can UC develop into Crohns? i'm curious because my latest flare has been extremely painful, and i feel like even my mouth is seeing symptoms my gum's seems swollen and inflamed. Anyone else experience this. My last colonscopy was 4 yrs ago, hope its just the UC doing this.

No, Uc can not develop into CD. If you are first diagnosed with Uc and the diagnosis changes further down the road to Crohn's then it was Crohn's you had in the first place. There is a condition called Crohn's colitis but that is still Crohn's, it's just limited to the large intestine. You can have mouth problems with Uc including ulcers.
