Not a trace of the disease is present following my initial diagnosis one years ago which was classified as moderate pancolitis. The GI doc wants me to continue on my normal dosage of Lialda (two pills a day) but will likely lower the dosage to one pill at the follow-up. BTW, I want to thank everyone for the excellent advice that I have received since joining this forum and hope to continue sharing any insights into this disease that I gather over time.

Thank you very, very, much everyone. If there were a way to eradicate this illness for everyone, everywhere, I would devote my existence pursuing it without thinking twice.

My GI said after my scope a month ago that if he didn't know my history he'd think I never had UC...cuz there were no signs of it and he took 30 biopsies... i was in complete remission on the pred... got off the pred...and two weeks later here I am on 6mp.
I HOPE it lasts WAY longer for you!! Congratulations!!!
