bleeding again

Dear All,

I've been feeling ill for the past 3-4 days, and I noticed blood 4 days ago, diarreah (3-4x/day) the next day, but after that it calmed down. My BM yesterday was nearly normal (1x in the morning) but towards the afternoon I had a sudden urgency which I didn't respond to. This morning my BM started to be well formed, but after a bit I felt very queasy and noticed blood on the tissue. I don't know if I'm coming down with another flare or if I'm just having a bad few days. I haven't started on Rowasa and am considering it for tonight. I don't know if I should call my GI yet. As usual, when this starts there is a sense of depression and anxiety.

Hi...if you're a teacher..the end of the school year is over, maybe things have caught up with you in the calm after the storm, so to say.

I think start the rowasa....you're not having a bad couple of days, for if you're bleeding and bms are increasing you're flaring.

You might also consider fibre supplements and probiotics....

Do you have any dicyclomine to help with some of the cramping?

I'm curious why you weren't on any Rowasa...did you taper to a maintenance dosage or did you completely go off them?

If the Rowasa isn't working for you..you could consider to ask the doc for a steroid enema or foam enema.
