Prednisone and Back acne

Lets hear what works for you guys. Obviously Accutane Ive heard a lot about but Ive also heard it takes up to 6months. I dont have any acne on my face but lately my back/shoulders have been breaking out.

I haven't tried it for acne, but I read that turmeric helps. I imagine you make a paste or something. But you might want to look it up, I guess it works well.

My son has used dandruff (Selsum Blue) shampoo for prednisone induced acne with pretty good results. We haven't tried it yet, but I have heard using Milk of Magnesia as a wash or a mask helps too. It is a laxative so ONLY use it topically!!

I think Accutane has been pulled off the market recently for it's link to UC - so stay away from it if it is still on the market.

Ask your doc for Clindamycin Phosphate topical solution. I am still highly prone to acne on my back and I have used that with success. Also as a teen I used it for severe break outs. My daughter now uses it on her face and back with good success.
