I agree that this has been the eye
opener for people to get with the program of personal hygeine....it takes a while. It seems there may be something more than the information that's out there.
I do tend to get colds which ticks me off because I am so careful. But, I do handle money, touch doors and eat in restaurants, and probably touch my mouth on occasion without thought.
One thing that I do try to avoid is the cashier who is coughing and wiping her/his nose, or when someone is coughing or sneezing near me in a store, I just hold my breath and high-tail it out of the area.
I'll never know what I've avoided, but I'm shocked when I do get sick unless I have been around someone (or my husband) who's picked up something.
From the hand sanitisation and pure avoidance, it's possible we will create more superbugs of other stuff.....but it's part of evolution...too bad we take longer to evolve than the bugs/viruses/bacteria out there.
I hope they can find a vaccination for the swine flu at least to help us get some immunisation against it....
