Can someone please explain to me why i don't go to the bathroom for 3 days and then when i do go, i can't stop going all day. I get painful bowel spasms, lots of gas and feeling a little nauseous . My bm is formed but with a little mucus and no visible blood.

It's come to the point where i am developing a fear of going to the bathroom, because i know when i do have my bowels open i am going to be feeling ill all day. mad confused

probably because you're flaring and/or have IBS.  (flaring doesn't have to have blood).

When you're having non-stop bms...are you having diarrhea?

It could be you're also not on enough 5ASA meds...consider oral meds as well...and ask your doc for some antispasmodics to help the cramping/spasming for either of the constipation/frequency days.

how is your diet in general?

you might consider to take fibre supplements. Believe it or not, it can also help bulk up stools to help even out your bms..etc. Plus, fibre supplements will help your probiotics work better.

Bm is formed just constantly going. My diet is not great but am going to start the IBD remission diet.

I also have joint pain and a back ache. Thing is I am fine and symptom free on the days I don't have a bowel movement, then I get a bowel movement and I feel like death.

You feel like death meaning the experience of having a bm is excrutiating? rectal spasming...etc?
and afterwards you have nausea, spasming, cramping, etc throughout your abdomen?

How high is your UC extended to?

When did you start the Asacol foam?

Explain your diet...do you eat enough in a day?

feeling like death just meant I feel ill very achy and tummy churning and anxiery all the time. It's not excrutiating to have a vm but the bowel spasms are very uncomfortable because they won't stop.

My diet consists of White bread, potatoes, meat and chocolate and cakes etc no fruit or veg as I don't seem to digest them. I eat enough but can't gain weight I am about 98Ibs.

As for the asacol I can't even retain it.

I am just worried that everythme my bowels open I have this problem.

Oh and my colitis is moderate left sided and the spasms are across the top of my intestine and I can here lots of groaning!
