there arn't any around i live in northern arkansas. Does anyone know if there are any in sprinfield or little rock. Sorry but i just don't know how to get the answer locally.

I highly recommend you visit www.j-pouch.org for surgeon recommendations in your state. For this surgery you don't want a local surgeon, you want the most experienced surgeon you can find. I imagine there are some in LR but I don't know for sure.

You should be able to find a good colorectal surgeon at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Not so far from Arkansas.

i am also considering having the surgery, and its funny that the top surgeon i can find is 2 floors below my GI office... dr.Craig Stephen Johnson in tulsa where i live, i havent had my appt with him yet but my GI says he is very good, anyone heard of him?

You'd probably have a better response if you posed your surgeon question at www.j-pouch.org That site has over 6000 jpouchers from around the world and there are some from OK who can advise you.
