My past UC dx was, pancolitis.
My present oscopy with different GI shows, some left sided scarring from past disease processes. No present active disease. NO PANCOLITIS.
So, does this equate to remission?
What exactly would I say is my present state?
Why do I still have some symptoms ie. urgency/loss of control
What about IBS? are my symptoms from IBS/IBD? more than they are from UC?
Just thought I would put this to all of you who have my disease and first hand knowledge, I will still do my research on the internet and see what I can gather. Discuss...

Hi..do you have a copy of your pathology report? If yes...what exactly does it say.

If you have absolutely NO inflammation in the rectum, even the lowest part, then the urgency could be from IBS, some function of the spincter not as strong from having the flares or something you're eating that's causing your colon to faster to have the rectum purge quickly.

Keigel exercises may help.

you could consider to take a fibre supplement to help bulk up the stool and help exercise the colon. It might ultimately help the urge/urgency feeling too.

You could also ask for some rectal meds and see if that helps as well as an antispasmodic...
