I am currently trying to alter my diet, as it has come to a point where medication is not working for me, and my diet had gotten quite bad where i am eating lots of refined sugars like biscuits and cake, and no fruit and veg as they seemed to irritate my colitis.
I have been reading Jini Patel Thompsons book Listen to your gut, and i have now ordered the aloe vera juice she recommends, and also a tub of absorb plus, which is ment to help you gain weight.
My problem is since i cut out the biscuits and cake and bread etc, my weight has dropped to 6.5 stone, which is not a good place to be. I feel so weak all the time and tired. My colitis has been flared here and there over the last 6 months, but presently i would say i am more constipated, going every few days, but with no blood and no mucus, and i have some gas and a little discomfort on my left side. When i do have a BM i would only go once maybe twice in the day.
So what can i do to gain some weight? I am seriously worried.
