I  was originally diagnosed with UC and switched to crohn's disease. I am currently taking 20 mg of prednisone and 4 lialda with 75mg of 6MP. I was reading about the cecal patch and that kinda sounds like me. I also would like to know if any of you think I should call the doctor since I am now experiencing muscle pain and what seems like bone pain. i also am experiencing alot of hair loss still have a sharp almost throbbing pain in my right side and sometimes everywhere. I am so confused and tired of this disease. Any suggestions would be more than appreciated

Hi Hunter's Mom and welcome to HealingWell. Definitely call you doc and tell him about your pain; there are other things associated with UC/Crohn's such as Ankolysing Spandolitis which causes pain in your joints and your doc should help to relieve some of that pain. Not that this is what you have...but always good to get it checked. Prednisone also made me lose my hair and B-12/Biotin helped with that. Make a list for your doc and tell about the different symptoms you have. I find it helpful to write it out; it's easy to forget when someone is standing in front of me! ;-) Also, you might want to pose the cecal question to the Crohn's forum, they might be better versed with that. When I was on pred and had hair loss, zinc helped me out. But I've also heard of the B12 so it's probably either-or. =)
