Does this ring a bell for anyone? I had two doors in my house varnished and so on and have been having the worst D and nausea and indigestion since. Am I just imagining there's a connection between the varnish fumes and my gut symptoms? It has been quite a dramatically difficult week for my digestive system since the fumes started.

     I wouldn't be surprised if you had a reaction to the fumes.  We are having an addition put on our house and they put fiberglass insulation in two days ago and were here to sheet rock today.  UGH...the entire house smells.  We opened the windows on the addition and shut off the bedroom door from which the addition extends, but it still smells bad.  Hope this doesn't affect my flare...I am just starting to come out of it!!!!

     Can you ventilate the area any??

varnish fumes would make me feel horrific, and with a sensitive gut, I might also have some symptoms based on the distress of the situation (for me I'm sensitive to stuff like that, so I would expect it).

Are you on meds at this time?

Keep your windows open and maybe a fan in the window to help get rid of the fumes.

Fans throughout the house will help move the air around at least and help dry the varnish.

Thanks - I have tried valiantly to keep things ventilated in the heat and humidity. And viscious D. Which seems to be abating a bit as the fumes dissipate.
