I had my flex sigmoid today and it confirmed what I already knew.  I am totally inflamed.  I have had two Remicade infusions, started back on Prednisone two days ago and my doctor is sending me for blood tests so I can start Imuran. 

Has anybody ever been on all three meds at one time.  I really didn't want to start the prednisone again let alone this Imuran.  Been flaring off and on since December so it may be worth it.  Not sure about the combination.  I would love any input.

I can't remember if you've had a consultation with a surgeon or not. Honestly, if I were in your shoes, I would. I mean, that's a heck of a lot of medication to be on that doesn't seem to be working, and given that you've got osteopnia, pred would scare the crap out of me.

At any rate, I hope you feel better soon.

No surgeon consult. I am just not ready for that. I am hoping something kicks in soon med wise.

I've been on Humira, Prednisone and Imuran. It wasn't a real big issue. The mix did help me get out of my major flare. It's worth a shot, besides the prednisone is temporary, and the Imuran can be to depending on how long your doc wants to keep u on it. I was on Imuran til the beginning of this year, and was put on it in May of 2007, so.... shouldn't be a problem at all.

I would have a consult with a surgeon just in case. Hope you feel better soon.
