Abatacept Clinical Study Trial - Cancelled

The Abatacept trial for Ulcerative Colitis that I have been on for the past 2 years has suddenly been dropped.  I was doing quite well on the trial, so I am very disappointed.

Apparently, early analysis has indicated that the drug is no more effective than placebo.  Severe reactions were also cited.  So, everyone, including me, are all now off the trial with immediate effect :(

I don't know what I will do next.  I have tried every other UC drug out there. I just hope I can get onto a different trial.

Very worried now about what the future holds in store.

Golimumab trial seems to be going pretty well from what I see. Only thing I disagree with is the way its administered. I had more success with it when it was given like remi is, they dropped that and dose it like humira now. No side affects. There was a few others on it here, but they disappeared. I assume they got better, lol.

MLN02 is a very promising trial that I will go into next if this one doesn't give me complete remission. Seems safe. (https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=38&m=1560078)

That is very frustrating. I can imagine how you feel.. My doctors office is playing a lot of games with the refill of my prescription for Asacol and I know I am going to run out before we get through all the red tape. It is stressing me out so badly.
