Bladder pressure from inflammation?

This is the craziest flare ever. I am having symptoms that I have never had before. I feel like there is a lot of pressure probably from the inflammation pushing on my bladder. So I feel like I cannot hold as much urine as usual and it is somewhat painful. I do not have a urinary tract infection. I wondered if any of you had that problem with lower rectal inflammation?

Are you on prednisone?Sometimes that happens to me when I am on th pred.

I have been having the same feelings of pressure on bladder it is worse in the mornings,im on 10mg of pred so maybe that has something to do with it

     I was in a major flare last year and the pain spread to my vaginal area.  I went to my gyn doctor after being discharged from the hospital.  She said that all was clear in my vagina and that the pain was from the inflammation in my rectum.  The pain also radiated down the insides of both my legs as far as the knees..ugh..it was awful!

Absolutely it can cause irritation within the bladder (as per the urologist I saw many years ago when I was having more problems with my bladder). He was concerned that I might have interstitial cystitis...scary.

I also was having problems with endometriosis, periods and flaring...I was in a quandry and eventually had a hysterectomy.

I was checked regularly for bladder infections....some of the cloudy urine came back positive, other times not.
I soon had a bladder scope and no IC, thankfully....interestingly after the scope the bladder infections stopped.

Please get checked out to make sure you don't have an infection, first and foremost.

You should also make sure you're taking probiotics....which can help prevent bladder infections or UTIs.

Eliminating any infection, etc. - yes, in my case my bladder is affected.  One reason I know that (other than tests) is when my rectum is inflammed when I lay on my left side I really have to P more and when I turn over the urge is gone.  I have an overactive bladder but discovered this when really flaring.  Doctor "assumes" it is the swelling from inflammation.

Yes. drinking plenty of water, no infection, and taking probiotics. That is why I felt it was due to inflammation. Also it extends into my vaginal area at times.

I've noticed some of the things listed above. But also - sometimes if I have to pee and put it off a few minutes I'll end up needing to poop as well. I always figured that was from inflammation in the neighboring area.

Rectal inflammation can definitely affect the bladder. My rectum was very inflamed prior to surgery and was affecting my bladder. After my surgery my surgeon said the inflammation had spread some to the bladder and I had to leave the catheter in for several days to rest my bladder. I had a scope done during surgery and lucky no damage or other diagnosis.

I do feel like I can't hold my pee in as long as I used to; it almost hurts to hold it sometimes, even though I know there isn't much urine there to pass. Don't think I have an UTI.

On Entocort but this is something which pre-dates that.

I am going to ask for some cortisone enemas from my GI doctor. In the meantime, I'll be using some Pentasa enemas, not just the suppositories.

Does the Entocort help, NiceCupOfTea? Is that an enema?
