ok, so i was going into the shower this morning and i realized that there was like flaking or dead skin around my scrotum, like it was flaky/peeling. im sry its so graphic, and i was wondering if maybe any medication might have caused this? im sry if i cant post this, please delete if theres a problem, again im sry.

What meds are you on at this time?

mesalamine enema

Could be a slight fungal infection or possibly a bit of soap residue or maybe an allergy or reaction to new laundry soap or new underwear???

Make sure that area is dry before dressing.

You could try a splash of vinegar in water and rinsing well after washing.

Apply some antifungal cream for a day or two.

If you're on prednisone, it could be med-related, but it should be easily dealt with.

Are you being careful when you wipe after using the restroom? Do you use any moist naps? Could you be accidently releasing some of the enema around that area? When it dries it can look sort of flaky on skin. Does it hurt or itch?

nope doesnt itch or hurt, i was surprised because this has nvr happened before, ever. so i thought it might be med related since i started the meds like a month or two ago. ill see in a couple days what happens

Could be some of the enema... or a bit of a fungal infection or other skin condition from the pred.
Some antifungal cream (sometimes even has "anti-itch" in the name of the cream) would be worth trying, even if it doesn't itch. I'd probably wait a day or so to make sure it wasn't leak from the mesalamine or even soap (I've gotten distracted in the shower and forgotten to rinse my shampoo out once in a while...!)
