Well, I just wanted to let everyone knmmow that today, I passed gas, and ONLY gas!!! It's been a while since I've been able to do that. Being a truck driver that travel all over the country, UC can get in the way of working a lot. When I'm in a flare, I have to pull my truck over a lot and act like a dog, and just pop a squat. There is nothing worse than being stuck in traffic and knowing you only have 2-3 min before you have to go. Many times I have just not made it to the side of the road, or to the restroom, and have had a lot of accidents in my pants. It sucks, but, this is what I do for a living. But, just today, I passed gas, and I was confident it would only be gas, and that's all it was!! I am close to being in remission, i'd say about
90%, but it's been like this for about
a month or so. I ran out of probiotics, and I need to get some more. I am looking for some ideas on this.

Isn't it great to just fart when you want to? ;)
What probiotic were you taking? If you feel like the one you were taking worked, just stick with it!

Yay for you! LOL, how many places in the world could you share that a fart was just a fart and have people excited for you!?
When symptoms begin to calm down and we get a glimmer of "normal", isn't it just wonderful? I celebrate for you!

Trust me, I can relate. I remember when I could never trust a fart. It is nice to be able to pass gas freely again! congratulations. I hope you keep getting better.

Yup, as THEREAREMIRACLES wrote a while back, remission is "when you can fart without something else flying out into your pants". Congratulations on getting nearer to the goal!!!!! / Old Hat (30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.])

Yep. I remember that feeling of finally being able to fart again. It's a great feeling :)
My granddad used to have a truck company. He had three refrigerated trucks. My dad used to drive one of the trucks. He would haul frozen foods for Stouffers. I would go on trips with him in the summer and ride in the cab. I sure do miss those days.
