Rectal Rockets

I have been suffering with external and probably internal hemorrhoids for a few weeks.  I have tried everything and nothing has been helping.  I called my doctor back today because I can't take much more.  He called me in an order for Rectal Rockets.  A special pharmacy is going to make them up out of molds.  They will cost $8 each and insurance won't cover them.  She said I will use them for eight days before bedtime.  Has anybody else used these?  I looked them up and they are supposed to work great.  My molds won't be done until tomorrow night and I can't wait to try it.  I want to feel better.  The info I read said they work excellent and start after two treatments.  I am praying the rectal rockets take care of these babies.

I haven't heard of them either but I am intrigued! Hemmies are the worst...but I gotta ask the question...how do they make the 'molds'?? lol

The moulds are one shape, but the doctor would prescribe specific variations of what med to put in the basic ingredients.

There are certain pharmacies who compound the complete product, but with the rectal rocket brand moulds.

They are a fabulous idea.....I think kops2da and therearemiracles should enquire about them from their pharmacy or the doc to prescribe them.

My GI is back from vacation on the eighth, I'll ask him about them.

My Glorious Hemorrhoids thread go lost in the crash, but my hemmis have been giving me a fit lately. I'd sure like a little relief, although I'd MUCH rather have hemmies than flare.

ah....but hemmies can sometimes lead to a flare methinks, especially if the distress of them is a factor.

Yup! Anything, or absolutely nothing at all can lead to a flare. That's one of the things that's so insidious about this disease. My GI keeps asking things like, "What started this one."

I'll say something like, "I had a cold."

He'll say, "Yes, a cold can trigger a flare."
