I think I am now having bladder issues agh!  For a while now I've been having trouble urinating, like it's hard to empty my bladder and it takes forever to go then on Saturday we were going thru a corn maze when I sneezed.  Needless to say, I had some leakage.  And then the same yesterday when I coughed.  Has anyone had something similiar and if so, what did it end up being?  I have no pain but I do have a fullness like feeling in my bladder plus a bit of numbness down there.

I have my hands extremely full at the moment so this is the LAST thing I need to be dealing with.  Yesterday my Gma fell and broke her hip.  She is supposed to have surgery today to repair it.  And of course I am her DPOA so I have to be there - I would want to be anyway but I don't really have much of an option right now.  My daughter is having ex-boyfriend stalker issues as well as continuing health issues due to severe allergies.  Plus there is just so much going on with other various things that I feel like my head is going to explode! 

I'm really honestly thinking that fate is out to get me shakehead !

You definitely have your share going on right now, Sherry. I'm so sorry to hear about Gma; you have been such an incredible granddaughter to her. As for the bladder thing, I used to have the same problem and it was really bad for a while, and just the other day I noticed it had kind of dissapeared. Not sure why, but seriously, I almost went and told my doc about it because I couldn't hold anything in. One sneeze and the old underwear was wet. I started wearing panti-liners for it. Can you do some Kegels to see if it helps with the control? You may want to talk to your doc about it if it gets worse. Sorry things are so crazy in your life right now. I'll send some good vibes your way.

You've got a lot going on Sherry. And I hope everything falls into place soon.

It's probably one of those crazy phases that you need to just get through with your sanity intact...I know that's easier said than done, but keep at it!

Sorry to hear about all your issues! That is a lot to deal with.

As for the bladder issue... hmm. I had some of those symptoms a long time ago when I had a bladder infection, but I also had a throbbing pain in my back, probably where a kidney is. I've also had a co-worker with the leakage issues... can't remember what it was diagnosed as, but she ended up having a hysterectomy!

Sherry, I'm so sorry you now have this to deal with on top of everything else.

When my colon was terribly inflamed, it put pressure on my bladder and caused me to have some problems with stress incontinence (leaking when I sneezed, coughed, etc.) As some have suggested, it could also be an infection. UTI's for me never involve pain early on. My first sign is always cloudy, bad-smelling urine.

You might try some Azo to get you through today, then call your doctor to set an appointment.

So if my head explodes and end up with little Sherry pieces everywhere y'all will catch them for me? :)

If I have a UTI, this is will be the first one where it didn't involve pain. I've had a lot of UTI's in the past that quickly went to my kidneys but this feels nothing like that. I think I am going to call my doctor though to be tested anyway. My urine the other day was a bit cloudy but I didn't think much of it.

I will definately try to do Kegels though to help strenghten that area so maybe it can help, wouldn't hurt anyway to do them.

My Gma is going for surgery soon and I plan on going back up to the hospital later. The doctor said he was going to call when it was done. She is going to have a plate and screws put in. But luckily it wasn't a severe fracture the doc said. She may even be able to leave the hospital by Thursday and go back to the assisted living center.

I have had urine leakage a long time - runs in my family.  However, I think the inflammation of UC and mostly proctitis put more pressure on my bladder and I have to go more often - especially early morning before BM - so I am assuming that is it.

Oh Sherry...just what you don't neeed!

Sad to hear your G'ma fell, it's good your she'll be having surgery today and hope she will be able to recover quickly.

If you had cloudy urine the other day, I'd say it's probably the beginning of a UTI...or at the very least an irritation from stress.

You could try the baking soda and water for the day and then cranberry juice or cranberry capsules.

Sending healing thoughts your and g'ma's way.

Keep us posted as to how the surgery went and how you're feeling.

I do agree with bringing a sample to the doc to check for sure.

Are you still taking probiotics? Maybe up them for now.

Ok, I will up the probiotics. :) I called the docs and I will see her on Wednesday provided I don't get any worse. Cranberry juice *shudders*! I think I may pick up the capsules instead. Since I am going to see her, I may have her send me out for an ultrasound because I think I also have an ovarian cyst developing on my right ovary.

Sherry....good you have an appointment soon. I hope the results can come back quickly.

Sucks about the ovarian cyst...would you ever consider surgery for hysterectomy? Probably not the time to ask, however considering all you're going through...

Naw, I'm not ready for a hysterectomy yet. I am happy enough with the ablation right now.

Oh man Sherry! My Gma broke her hip a couple years ago and that was the most strung out I've ever seen my mom. And the thing with your daughter sounds pretty freakin' scary. And now this...you do have a full plate. Let us know how your appt goes and how your Gma is doing! Hopefully your colon will be nice to you while you're under all this stress.

So far so good with the ole colon but we all know how stress works. At least for me it's the delayed reaction kind of thing. I don't think I am feeling stress at the moment. I've been dealing with my daughter's stalker ex boyfriend thing for the past couple weeks but have had lots of issues with this boy for quite some time. And if my ole colon behaved during that time then all of this should be a breeze! :)

Gma had her surgery. She had a plate and some screws put in. Her hemoglobin was low so she had to have blood during surgery. It will be too late to go see her tonight since she is going to probably be in pre-op for a while and it's already almost 6pm plus she will be out of it. So I plan on going up there tomorrow. The doc said that they were going to try to get her up and walking tomorrow or the next.

The closest thing I've had to the bladder thing is for a while there when I was getting inflammation again, I'd get that painful gas, and I would try to fart and kinda pee. Even right after going, even if I didn't try that hard. It stopped.

Sorry about your grandma, I'm sure she'll be alright!

As for your daughter... has a few choice swearwords and blocking his e-mails and such not worked? I believe three phone calls is considered stalking? But double-check. I was having issues with my ex as well. Just in case, make sure she doesn't clear her inbox, delete his messages, or clear her calls lists.

Sorry to hear you're having so many issues in your life at the same time. I hope your grandma is doing well after her surgery.
