about a month back I started a sampling process of various yogurts w/ probiotics available off the counter. Some of the brands I've tried include stonyfields yogurt, activia, danactive. Off all of these, it seems that danimal smoothies is the most effective in terms of reducing blood and cramping. I've looked at the ingredients and the probiotic "Lactobacillus GG" is the only thing that the other yogurts don't have and maybe that's why the severity is reduced. There are still minute traces of blood and mornings can be really hectic but I feel better during the day (at least before night hits).
Instead of just taking the prednisone route again, I want to try all alternatives with probiotics being the first choice. I want to know if others have had any similar experiences with Lactobacillus GG. I'm thinking of ordering some probiotic supplements, particularly "Culturelle Culturelle Probiotic With Lactobacillus" and I'll let you guys know if it works out.
