Does Brock Lesnar have U.C.?

The news says that he has a "serious bacterial infection in his intestine" and that he may never be able to fight again. He's the UFC champion so that would be a big loss for them. More importantly, I hope he gets well soon. Just speculation on my part, but it sounds like he may have U.C.

Don't think so.... I think it's a little more serious then UC, he's going into a major surgery soon, and Dana White is making it sound like he's freaking dying, he's said hes' doing "really bad" "in bad shape" like 20 times in an interview

Diverticulosis is a form of IBD...Brock Lesnar is my least favorite fighter in the UFC (but I still wish him well with his recovery of course)....this is the first I've heard about it though, funny cuz on the news they do talk about the entertainment world and I never heard anything about it on the news or even the rolling news...I watch the news 3 times a day too (maybe I was in the potty every time it was being discussed LOL).

My favorite fighters are #1 Georges St.pierre, #2 Rashad Evans and number 3 is Rampage Jackson.

diverticulosis is not a form of IBD, although its inflammation can happen when matter is captured in the "pockets".

It can happen in conjunction with IBD.

Diverticulitis is inflammation of diverticula. Diverticulitis occurs when one or more of these pouches becomes inflamed or infected. Some people with diverticulosis become aware of the condition only when diverticulitis occurs.

Even in the article you posted about Brock Lesnar it states that Brock Lesnar is suffering from diverticulitis which is a disease usually found in the large intestine which form large pouches on the outside of the intestine which then become inflammed.

I said it wasn't a FORM of IBD.....meaning either CD, UC, inderterminent as we talk of it and you use to state what you have instead of Crohn's Colitis.

It is, however, AN IBD....specific.


I also said diverticulosis....and yes, when they're inflamed, the condition is called diverticulitis and can cause all sorts of major and serious problems.


It's an entity of itself, not autoimmune, but yes a bowel or colon disease since it's chronic, flares, requires change of one's diet, requires medications and can require surgery to "cure" it...

Yes, we're on the same page re divertic... (it is an IBD was my point) My MIL has diverticulosis, she ended up with a perforation (almost died) and had to wear a colostomy bag for just over a yr before she got it reversed...crappy eh!

LOL about the wind, you couldn't have "deadly wind" cuz we still have tons of it here ourselves...we have the sun still too, our high for friday is suppose to be +10 but only time will tell.

Yikes...the perforation could definitely mean death if not caught early. I don't think many people know they have diverticulosis unless something bad happens and even then....some docs could state "well, it's probably hemmies or ibs...lol.

it's +9 here today and +10 tomorrow...I'll take it...we deserve it!!! lol.
Enjoy, winter is around the corner...and although I like winter, I'd love it to stay like this forever. Crisp, sunny and easy to function in.

Yes, she almost died, the ER kept sending her home telling her she just had a stomach bug (it was flu season) but finally on the 4th visit in they investigated more and realized what was really going on, almost too late, she was suffering from fecal poisoning.

I hate winter, I'd rather have this weather than snow, ice and -30's...although they do say this is an el nino right now and for this winter, after all we are experiancing slightly warmer than usual temps for these days.

Thanks for the responses and for the record, I didn't like Lesnar either but I do feel sorry for him and wish him well. UFC is not really my thing but if anyone wants to talk HOCKEY ? : ) Go Habs Go !!!

Yes he has, he said in this video he had a surgery because of ulcerative colitis

He says he had it for diverticulitis.
