Remicade for Maintenance

Why does every post on here seem to be so inflammatory lately??? No pun intended.... I just don't get it. Who cares what someone states in a post- how exactly is a typed word considered "authoritative"? I mean.... the subject of this thread is Remi as maint.- what are you arguing Burli, exactly? Are you saying no it's not for maintenance use, or yes it is? Regardless of where people get their info, I think it's clear that Remicade is generally used for maintenance- it's not considered a rescue med, used to get one into remission ASAP. If you need to know, I've come by that info from 2-3 GI's, some very high ranking ones at major hospitals, as well as my own research. I just don't get what you're trying to do- prove yourself right & others wrong, or actually stick to a thread topic? Tensions must be running hig these days, because many, many, MANY threads have deteriorated into "How do you know???" type arguments lately.

I thought the discussion was productive and informative, Eva Lou. I started the post that's true but it went elsewhere like a conversation. I'm not trying to be right or make someone wrong. I'm trying to learn.
It's not bad to question what someone has to say--or ask what they base their information on. Who knows, I may be talking to a leading researcher in here versus someone like us.

I didn't ask for a bibliography, Judy, just some reference as to where the information came from. PB4 and Quincy never minded me questioning their statements, rather they supported them kindly with facts. You stated some very interesting things on that one post that made me question my own experiences. I just wanted to know where you got that stuff..That's all.
