Micky3270 - I went to Mayo for a GI workup followed by surgery in Aug. It was an automatic 2nd opinion before surgery - BONUS! They did all my tests (it took 3 days for me), I met with the GI and surgeon at the end of day 3 and had surgery on day 4. I brought all my med records but forgot to bring my slides with me so I had to do the CT w/ contrast, a flex sig for biopsies, lots of blood tests (I'm hypercoagulative) and I think an MRI. I'd have to look at my records to be sure - it seems like there was more but that might be because of tests I had to do after surgery. I wouldn't worry about
not finishing the prep. I'm pretty sure they would have said something if they couldn't flush you out enough following the scope. All I had to do as prep for my flex sig was 2 enemas and I didn't have to prep at all for surgery.
I didn't come close to finishing my prep for the CT and that wasn't a problem. Depending upon how bad you are they might not even have tried to go through a full scope. I know that my GI stopped on my last csope because of the state of my colon. He wasn't comfortable going any further. I think the Mayo doc did the same on my flex sig. They were concerned that it was just too dangerous to continue but they were still able to get all the info and biopsies that they needed.
