Dry skin after raising 6MP dose

Hey guys. I've been on 50mg/day of 6MP (up from 25mg/day before) for about 3 weeks now and for the past 2 weeks or so my skin has been really dry. It looks and feels really dry all over. I have to put on body lotion at least twice a day or it's just uncomfortable to move around and stretch my skin too much. Could it be from the higher 6mp does? I never had this (or any other side effects really) from 6mp while on 25mg for the past 2 years but like I said this started a week after raising my dose. But, I'm not sure if it's from the 6mp because I'm also tapering off prednisone rite now (currently at 35mg down from 60mg). I've been on prednisone twice before at the same dosage and never had any dry skin but I've been on it for much longer this time around. I also had my second remicade infusion just about 3 weeks ago. I didn't have the dry skin after the first infusion 5 weeks ago though. I've also started Lialda (switched from asacol) but that was almost 2 months ago so I don't think it's that. I guess it's not the worst side-effect ever. Some lotion takes care of it but it's just a pain. What do you guys think? Thanks a lot in advance!

Oh yeah I didn't even think about the weight gain. I've definitely been putting on weight pretty fast the last 2 or 3 weeks. Makes sense because it just feels tight. Not itchy at all. I'll definitely let my doc know next week at my next appointment or just call him up if it gets worse. That appointment is actually to get some blood work done to check my liver function and 6mp levels. So I'll be having that monitored every month.

The lotion i've been using is the unscented Vaseline moisture locking. Hasn't given me any problems and works really well.

Hopefully it gets a little better once I'm off the prednisone in a few weeks! If it is the Lialda I can definitely deal with it though. It's been working great for me :)
