Eww the grossest thing just happened!

This afternoon I took my 3 colazal pills and one effexor pill at the same time and they got stuck in my throat. It wasn't really bothering me so I didn't take anymore water to push them down because I was about to get in the shower. A couple minutes later I still had them stuck in my throat and a let out a little burp. When I burped this big dust cloud came out and I had this really nasty taste in the back of my mouth! I guess while in my throat the capsules of the meds dissolved and exposed the medicine inside and when I buped, I burped up the contents of the pills. It tasted so awful and nothing would get rid of the taste and the back of my mouth was irritated from it.
Oh the crap that happens to me LOL

Oh... my goodness! I'm sorry but I had to laugh out loud when I read your post.. I was imagining burping and a big dust cloud coming out.. LOLOLOL!! That killed me for some reason!! Anyhoo.. I hope you eventually got the bad taste to go away... And yes.. the things that happen to us.. lolol Some people probably wouldn't believe half the stuff we go through, Funny or not.. lol..

LOL it is funny! I burped and saw dust come out and I was like WTH!?

Wow, in all my yrs I've never experianced that...you'd be quite the hit at a kids birthday party with that trick...LOL

Yes, it DID make me feel better... I think I got a lot of tension out from laughing about your post.. I even read it to my husband and HE laughed too... Thanks for the laugh, I needed it.. Humor is the best medicine for sure! :)

LOL I've never had that happen to me either :) But why would the Colazal capsules dissolve in your throat when the coating is so tough that it can withstand stomach acid? Just curious is all. Maybe a defective pill? But I hate that too when the pills don't go down all the way and they get stuck like right at the end of the esophagus.

oh my god, i've totally had this happen! i haven't been on the colazal for a few years, but i remember this happening to me when i was taking them and, indeed, since then i've gone out of my way to drink glass after glass of water and/or to eat bread or whatever is handy to make sure my apriso capsules go down all the way if they feel stuck. ;) so funny...
