Hi Passer -
I'm sorry to talk about this yet again, but sometimes it's the little annoying things in life that add up and get us down!
I noticed yesterday that both the box and packet of VSL#3DS say across the top "Prescription Only."
So - a certain insurance might refuse to cover it, but otherwise, it's pretty clear that what happened with me was that the docs didn't write it up in that one specific way it needed to be written to be considered prescription. There was no "trick" on my part - this IS considered a prescription product.
I would urge you to try again to see if you can get it covered, in case you were a victim of the same kind of screw-up that led me to not be able to get it for so long.
And if your insurance is the problem here, that your particular ins. won't cover it, maybe your doc would write a letter requesting an exception? (Someone else said they'd done that.)
Good luck.
