PILLS NOT DIGESTING!!

HI, ive been taking Mezavant (mesalamine) for over a month now, since switching from Salafalk. Ive recently been noticing that the pills are not digesting! its all white and chalky looking. have you guys experienced anything like this? any tips that will make it digest better? taking it with/without food? i havnt spoken to my doc yet, i was hoping there was something i could do.

I switched from Asacol to Apriso because I was noticing medication in my stool. Apriso starts dissolving at a lower pH than Asacol, and people with UC are thought to have more acidic guts. I'd definitely talk to your doctor...Are you in the UK? I'm not familiar with what all forms of mesalamine are available there.
