IMURAN AND JOINT PAIN?

Hello,

 

iIve been on Imuran for I'd say 4 years now I take 2 pills a day. I am wondering if anyone else out there suffers from leg joint knee pain? I do and I hate it. Can it be long term from the Imuran or could it be something else? I also take Lexapro so I dont know if that could be

causing it. I was just looking for some imput.

I've been on Imuran a long time too, but I don't think it causes my joint pain. UC can actually do that, and that's what my doctors and I think it is. Exercise does help a bit, biking would probably be your best bet. Usually mine only happens with weather changes.

its probably the UC itself. Also if you have taken pred any that does it too.

Yes I have that too but I doubt it's from the immune suppressor. I have had it even before I started on 6mp so it might just be the Uc itself that is causing these pains. Do your knees ever swell up?

I have to chime in here- Imuran, as well as remicade, have caused me to get arthritis-like symptoms from time to time, that went away when I stopped taking those drugs.  My GI's never believed me but the correlation was very clear to me.
