Anybody tried Apriso?

My GI has given this prescription to me so I just started taking it. I haven't taken any prescriptions for over a year. Well,,, I usually have formed stools with very little blood and I figured I would see much improvement for Lent b/c I focus more on my diet. (I can eat better thinking I'm not only doing it for my health, but for my religion as well) But, Since I started Apriso I have had Diahrea and can't form stools. Could Apriso be causing this?

I was in remission when I switched from Asacol to Apriso, and if anything, my remission only got more solid. Did you notice diarrhea when using Asacol?
So with your healthy diet, have you been eating more high-fiber foods? That could cause looser poop, which is normal.

I am currently taking Apriso but its only been about one month and I do not se any difference-there is still blood but well formed stools-I'm at a point to where I don't know what to do-this UC surely is stressing me out.

UC, are you on any rectal meds? They might stop the bleeding. Or, could the blood maybe be from internal hemmies?

I tried Apriso last fall but it didn't help....hurt, if anything. Gave me more diarrhea. But I didn't respond to asacol or Rowasa, either, so it may just be that those types of drugs don't work on me.

I took asacol for a couple years when I was first diagnosed and I hardly ever saw remission even though i was on imuran simultaneously. the only times my symptoms got better was when I added prednisone to all the other stuff I treated my UC with.
Maybe the asacol/apriso type meds cause me more D. I guess I'll just use it a little longer and wait and see...

What dosage of apriso are you taking?
